Privacy Policy – India Acronyms

Effective date: 1 November 2026. This policy covers India Acronyms at acronyms.indiacustomercare.com: its guide pages, the Report, Contact and Subscribe forms, and the tools on its pages. It does not cover other India Customer Care sites or the official websites we link to.

Report and Contact forms

The Report box on each guide asks for a topic, your message and an optional email address. The Contact form asks for your message and an optional name, mobile number and email address. We use these details to read your message, reply if you gave contact details, correct our guides and prevent abuse. We do not publish them, sell them or use them for advertising.

Each message is saved in a file on our server that is protected from public web access, together with the time, the page you sent it from, your IP address and the country reported by our hosting provider. A copy may be emailed to our team. Emails are limited to a few each hour and day; above that, a message is saved for later review without being emailed. The same message sent again within one minute is ignored.

A simple arithmetic question, generated on our own server, helps keep out automated spam. We do not use a third-party CAPTCHA service. Recognisable Aadhaar, VID, card and PAN numbers in a message are masked automatically, but please do not rely on this: never send such numbers, passwords, PINs or OTPs.

Subscribe

If you subscribe, we save your email address, the time, the page you subscribed from, your IP address and your country, so that we can tell you about new guides. We do not send any emails yet, not even a confirmation. When we start, every email will include a way to unsubscribe. To be removed before then, use the Contact us form.

Tools on our pages

Tools such as the payment reference reader work entirely in your browser. What you type or paste into them is not sent to our server and is not saved.

Visit statistics

To count how many people read our guides, a page visit is recorded only after you tap, click, press a key or scroll on the page. Nothing is recorded when a page just loads. Each record holds the date and time, the device type (mobile, tablet or desktop), your IP address, your country as reported by our hosting provider Cloudflare, and the page address without any query text (anything after "?" or "#" is removed). Records are kept in a server log file shared by the India Customer Care sites hosted on the same server, which is protected from public web access.

After that first interaction, other pages you open in the same browser tab within 30 minutes are recorded too, without another tap. To do this, a timing marker is kept in your browser's session storage. It is not a cookie, it holds no identifier, and it is removed when you close the tab. Automated visitors are filtered out: your browser's user-agent text is checked to spot bots but is not stored, and visits from automated browsers are not recorded.

Technical information and service providers

Like any website, our server and our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) process your IP address, the pages you request, the time, and your browser details to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. We use these logs only to run and protect the site.

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives the technical details needed to send them. Share buttons contact the chosen service (such as WhatsApp or X) only when you tap one.

Google AdSense and advertising

Advertising is currently switched off on India Acronyms. If we turn on Google AdSense, Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads. Google's advertising cookies let Google and its partners show ads based on your visits to this site and other websites.

You can manage personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings and find other vendors' opt-outs at YourAdChoices. You can also control cookies in your browser. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and about Google advertising technologies. Where consent is required, ads will follow your consent choices. We will update this policy before advertising starts.

Keeping records and your choices

We keep messages and sign-ups for as long as we need them to reply, fix problems and keep records, until we delete them. Copies in email and in hosting backups may be kept for different periods. Only the people who run this site, and the companies that host it and handle its email, can access them.

To see, correct or delete what you sent us, use the Contact us form. Tell us enough to find your message, but do not send identity documents. We will explain if we must keep a record for a legal or operational reason.

Links and changes to this policy

Official websites and other sites we link to have their own privacy policies; check them before you enter personal information. We will update this page, and its effective date, when our features or the way we handle data change.
